January – Garnet

Garnet is said to aid blood, heart, and lungs and is known to promote romantic love, passion, sensuality, and intimacy.
February – Amethyst

Amethyst is said to aid the wearer with reducing insomnia, arthritis, and assist with pain relief, and circulatory issues. It is also considered the gemstone of meditation, bringing the owner peace, balance, courage, and inner strength.
March – Aquamarine

Known for releasing fear, calming nerves, and bringing mental clarity, Aquamarine serves many functions in the body as well. Things like aiding in the liver, stomach, jaw, teeth, eyes, and ears, which are all important to one’s health.
April – Diamond

Diamonds are the most prized gemstone of all. Diamonds are said to provide better relationships and an increase inner strength. In addition, holding diamonds close gives other benefits such as balance, clarity, and abundance.
May – Emerald

Emerald has calming effects and loving energy. The deep green color invokes symbols of nature and money, leading many to believe in its ability to bring abundance and prosperity to the wearer.
June – Pearl

A pearl, like a sea, is known for its calming properties, the Pearl is said to aid purity, charity, integrity, truth, and loyalty.
July – Ruby

Ruby’s have several meanings depending on the source, some say that it is a sign of health and protection. Other sources and legends say that it aids in emotions like integrity, devotion, and happiness.
August – Peridot

Peridot represents helping properties for stress in relationships, lessening anger and jealousy, and slowing aging. The peridot promotes abundance and prosperity.
September – Sapphire

Sapphire is one of the most prized gemstones. Thought to bring creativity and inner peace, the Sapphire also aids in personal expression and the alleviation of pain.
October – Opal

October is one of the lucky months because it has two widely known birthstones, Opal and Pink Tourmaline.
Opals have long been associated with hope, happiness, innocence, and luck. It has a big place in both Arabic Legends and Greek Mythology. According to Arabic legend, opals fell from the sky in bolts of lightning. Greek mythology stated that opals originated from Zeus’ joyful tears after winning the battle against the Titans.
Tourmaline is found in many different colors. While pink is typically thought of for October, folklore has explained this variety by saying the gemstone traveled along a rainbow. It gathered a diverse array of colors as it went. Its internal healing properties are known to counteract fear, grief, and negative energies.
November – Citrine

November, like October, has two birthstones that are commonly associated with the month. Citrine and Topaz are powerful gemstones. Topaz facilitates the balance of emotions and provides protection from greed. Citrine is considered the gemstone to provide a greater or increased hearing. It also promotes success, abundance, and clear thinking.
December – Turquoise

Turquoise is a stone with a long history and tradition. In Native American culture, the stone was thought to be created from the joy of rainy day tears mixed with the rain that seeped into Mother Earth to become Turquoise. It is a healing and balancing stone.
