SBGM253 is a limited-edition watch commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Caliber 9S mechanical movement. Its blue design depicts the clear sky as seen from the top of Mt. Iwate, visible from the Grand Seiko Studio Shizukuishi where Grand Seiko mechanical watches are assembled.
A classic form is achieved with a mirror-finished bezel and case, gently curved Zaratsu-polished lugs, and a box-shaped sapphire crystal. The watch is powered by Caliber 9S66 with GMT functionality and a three-day power reserve.
