Since joining the family business in 1966, Jim Clark has helped guide BC Clark through decades of growth, change, and innovation while remaining deeply committed to the values that have defined the company since its founding in 1892.
Jim and Carolyn began their life together at the University of Oklahoma, living in the old Navy barracks known as the Neiman Apartments, where rent was just $45 a month and the apartment came furnished. Carolyn worked for OU to help support Jim through school, while Jim worked at Dorset Electronics and later joined the family business during his senior year.

After graduation, the couple headed to Dugway Proving Grounds in Utah while Jim served in the U.S. Army. Following his service, Jim earned his MBA from New York University and spent summers in New York City working for a jewelry manufacturer, grading gems and diamonds while gaining invaluable industry experience.
In 1966, Jim and Carolyn returned home to Oklahoma City, where Jim officially joined B.C. Clark Jewelers full time.
Known for his integrity, leadership, and genuine care for people, Jim has always believed that BC Clark is about more than jewelry. It is about celebrating life’s milestones, building trust, and creating relationships that span generations. Throughout his career, he has built lasting connections with customers, mentored generations of employees, and helped shape the culture of service and excellence that continues to define BC Clark today.

Today, after 60 years with the company, Jim remains actively involved in the business, working from the downtown office and continuing to support employees, customers, and the community. His presence continues to serve as a steady guide within the organization and a reminder of the values that have carried BC Clark forward for more than a century.
As we celebrate this milestone, we honor six decades of dedication, leadership, and service that have left an enduring mark not only on BC Clark, but on the jewelry industry as a whole.
