Welcoming The Fifth Generation

Welcoming The Fifth Generation

In 1892, in Indian Territory, B.C. Clark Jewelers began as a small jewelry store in the corner of a five-and-dime. More than 130 years later, that small shop has grown into Oklahoma’s oldest jewelry store — and the oldest retail business in the state operating under the same name and continuous family ownership.

Through every chapter, one thing has remained constant: family.

From founder B.C. Clark, to B.C. Clark Jr., to Jim Clark, and then to brothers Coleman and Mitchell Clark, each generation has carried forward a commitment to quality, service, and doing the right thing. While the jewelry, brands, and stores have evolved over time, the values behind them have never changed.

This year feels especially meaningful as two milestones meet in one moment.

Jim Clark is celebrating 60 years with the company — six decades of leadership, wisdom, and dedication to the family business. After beginning his career in the jewelry industry grading gems and diamonds in New York City and officially joining B.C. Clark full time in 1966, Jim helped shape the company through years of growth while preserving the traditions that built it. Today, as Chairman, his influence continues to be felt across every part of the business.

At the same time, we’re proud to welcome Estelle Stout as the fifth generation of the Clark family to join B.C. Clark Jewelers.

For Estelle, returning home to Oklahoma City and stepping into the family business marks the beginning of a new chapter. After spending the past year gaining hands-on industry experience, she now joins a legacy that began long before her — one built through generations of hard work, integrity, and care for customers and community.

There’s something incredibly special about celebrating Jim’s 60th year while Estelle begins hers. It’s a true full-circle moment — honoring the past while looking toward the future.

Today, B.C. Clark continues under the leadership of CEO Coleman Clark and President Mitchell Clark, whose vision blends tradition with innovation. Together with Jim’s guidance and Estelle stepping forward as the next generation, the future of B.C. Clark remains rooted in the same values that have defined it since 1892.

More than a jewelry store, B.C. Clark has always been about relationships — between generations of family, generations of customers, and the moments worth celebrating.

Now, 134 years after it began, the story continues.
