Two Pray for Rain Wedding Weekends

Screenshot 2025-05-06 at 10.37.52 AM

Saturday, April 19, 2025, was truly unforgettable — not just for the 2.35 inches of rainfall, but because FOUR Pray for Rain couples said "I do"! Then, just a week later on April 26, another 1.78 inches of rain fell, bringing good fortune to THREE more lucky Pray for Rain newlyweds!

It all started with a simple, joyful idea: turn Oklahoma’s unpredictable weather into something to celebrate. The promise? If it rained at least one inch in OKC on your wedding day, your engagement ring would be free up to $10,000. Since then, over 300 couples have had their prayers answered — and BC Clark has given away over a million dollars in rings because of it.

Jake & Hannah: A Snowy Proposal, A Rainy “I Do”
Among the winners were Jake Hinckley and Hannah Hair, who were one of the couples featured in our 2024-2025 BC Clark Magazine. Their love story, as timeless as it is unique, began on the campus of Oklahoma State University and led them to say “I do” at the stunning Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa, Oklahoma on April 19th.

From their magical proposal in Lake Tahoe, to their romantic Tulsa wedding, Jake and Hannah’s love story has been out of a storybook. And as for their engagement ring? Hanna shared, "Our experience with the Downtown Oklahoma City BC Clark location was nothing short of excellent from beginning to end. It is evident BC Clark sets the bar high, committed to providing the best to its customers."

Jacob Clark: A Fifth-Generation Family Legacy
Another special Pray for Rain moment belonged to Jacob Clark — a name that holds deep meaning. Jacob is the son of the family’s first cousin, making him a fifth-generation Clark. He also becomes just the second member of the family to win Pray for Rain since its inception in 1998.

The first family win? That came from Mitchell Clark, our President and his wife, Letitia Clark, married on October 17, 1998 — the very year the Pray for Rain tradition began. That day, 1.28 inches of rain fell in Oklahoma City, launching a a special tradition that has now spanned more than two decades.

It's clear that Pray for Rain has become more than just a fun promotion — it's a tradition rooted in joy, hope, and a little Oklahoma magic. Each drop of rain carries a story, a celebration, and a reminder that sometimes, the forecast can bring more than just weather — it can bring a FREE ring! Here's to all the couples whose wedding days were made even more unforgettable by a little rain and a lot of love.
